Extra Cash: Research Studies - Donate your Body to Science for Money

So, on Thursday, July 18th 2013 I had an appointment with a Research Study, for healthy volunteers for small pox vaccine study for up to $575.

Anyway, I did my medical tests and then made $50 and my next appointment is in 2 weeks and I will at that appointment make $100. They also gave me a debit card to make my funds available and will be available in a few business days.

The tests they did so far was an ECG, blood and urine test and tons of paperwork for me to sign and questions about my health. They said for each new research study they have to do the paperwork new because of HIPAA law and peoples body tend to change in time and its for each sponsored clinical trial. 

This is not my first study, a few years back I got strep throat and my clinic invited me to participate in their study and I made $300. I have also donated plasma one time, with that I think I made $20 or $40.

I just think of it as another hustle when you want to make extra cash. I dont mind donating my body, but because of how I feel about vaccines I am a little nervous about it. Since when my mom got a flu shot she ended up in the emergency room. But at my initial appointment the trial specialists are very thorough with their questions and tests that they do.

So today I got to think about Bartering since it seems for a lot of people money is hard to come by and I was trying to recall everything I have, as in resources and skills that I can Barter, or Trade with.

What is Bartering? Bartering is an exchange of service or products for others service or products without using money. 

Back in the Pioneer days, I believe people mostly Bartered to get what they wanted or needed and Trading is still alive and kicking today. If you go to Craigslist, KSL or Backpage, there is a Barter option vs purchasing or selling a product or service.

Im sure you have seen those articles on google when you have searched for ways to come up to pay a bill or start a business. Well, I have done most of those things on this list lol!

Sell Stuff you have around the house Online on ebay, craigslist etc... This was kind of actually New to me. I have sold a little bit on eBay several years back to see how it works and such but more recently I have sold to make ends meet. I honestly dont think I like ebay unless its to BUY. So, Im going to check out other sites to see whats available to sell. I have sold old biz items such as cookie lee jewelry, beach body workouts, odds and ends like books, cigar sample packs, etc...

Donate Plasma I did this several years ago with my aunt, it took forever...but they give you snacks and such when you are done. I only did it only the one time.

Research Studies this will be my second one. A few years ago I did one for strep throat, they asked me to be part of the study when I came in and was diagnosed at the doctors office. I earned $300. I am doing my second research study tomorrow, well going in for a screening regarding healthy people for vaccinations. Pay is around $600.

Pawn Stuff I pawned my first item last year, it was a used $200 IPod Touch that I got from my sister, I got $50 for it.

Make Money Online I have done this for several years - offer sites, HYIPs, surveys, online programs etc...

Housekeeping/House/Pet Sitting I currently do this.

Temp work I have done, will most likely do it again and of course part-time work as well.

I would like to learn how to make crafts to sell on Etsy.com but then that goes back to how I despise to ship products :p I initially wanted to make Mag Bags (because I love magazines and Im a bag whore) but I never got around to it and it looked like too much work was involved. I have considered making my own jewelry though. Another thing with crafts is I have no patience and Im rough with my work. I just want to get it done and be over with it. Which is funny because I currently sell AVON and have to deliver to my customers every couple of weeks. same difference.

Donate Sperm Isnt an option :p and nobody wants my eggs because I am over 28 years old (FYI 31). I would be a surrogate but that wouldnt sit well with my family.

Cold Calling Leads

I know Cold Calling is not fun in Sales. But, its part of business. I have always believed in calling leads because I know people who have been successful at it. Dani Johnson made people rich by teaching networkers the best way to cold call. Janie Jones from AmeriPlan became wealthy by calling leads.
If you think cold calling is dead, you're dead wrong. I have worked for traditional companies at home cold calling leads to make>appointments so that their closers can seal the deal.
The best Advice about cold calling is have a customer service mindset, let them know who you are and why you are calling, mainly "my name is Jackie and I received some information that you were interested in a home-based business?" Yes keep going. No - hang up - next!
Give them a link and schedule an appt to call them back. Offer time and date options for appointments. Give them YOUR available times to call them back.
CALL BACK (CLOSE) - Ask them what they liked BEST about the Biz? Answer their questions. Ask them why they want to work from home? Give them their reason back to them and then ASSUME THE SALE.

As I was listening to Brian Tracy's audio on Self-Confidence, I found his report on writing out your goals to accomplish them. He asks you what different goals you have for different parts of your life, but I only have ONE that really matters right now and that is:

July 2013 Update!

Day 1 to Riches

So today I was supposed to hand out AVON brochures but between my errands, cleaning, nap and the rain I was unable to hand them out. :/ So instead what I am going to do work online and listen to my subliminals from realsubliminal.com. Currently I am listening to Attract Men, Attract Money, Become an Entrepreneur, Motivation and Lose Weight Slim.

I am sure you are wondering "do subliminals work?" Yes, although realsubliminal is new to me, I have used innertalk.com in the past and will be testing out learningstrategies.com pariliminals.

Anyway, so I was on a blogging webinar the other day and they described good traffic techniques that I am going to use for my Primary Business. I would share those techniques but as a leader I learned you dont share all your secrets and they are very common ;) . I will also be doing a youtube video on my primary tonight as well. Then share in all my social networks. Last night I ran across this MLM Business Blueprint on Facebook ads and I want it soooooo bad. The sooner I get the money the sooner I can buy it to help my business. I also have this AVON shirt I want to purchase for my business that I want to get as well. Anyway, time to get to work ;)

Intro to Jackie's Money

My name is Jackie, I am a work at home single mom. I am a housekeeper & house and pet sitter. In a nutshell I have wanted financial independence since I was 18 years old. I am closer because I now get to work from home. That was a big one because I swore for years that I would retire from working my full time outside the house by the time I was 30 years old and two months before my 30th birthday I got to work at home. I dont know if it was wishful thinking, believing and achieving, the secret that got me to work from home but whatever it was, it worked.

Now if I can do that, for sure I could make $10,000 a month residual income as well so I can help my parents and my daddy. (my parents are my mom and stepdad although I call him dad).

Plus buy my own house, own my own diner, thrift store and UPS Store & Subway Franchise. ;) Own my own farm and live out in the country and be self-sufficient is what I really want as well. Im also really big philanthropy. I would like to volunteer and donate to various organizations like the food bank, boys and girls club, the road home, etc...I obviously would need to increase my net income from $10,000 to $100,000 to achieve all of the above. But we all need a start.;)

Now you might be thinking "Jackie, isnt $10,000 a month a LARGE sum to be trying to accomplish?" No, because last year, multiple times, in spurts, I brought in two grand a pop and lived off of it during that time and then would do it again. Plus the income strategies I have in place make it EASY to make that kind of money.

You are probably saying now "then why arent you rich yet?" that is what I am trying to figure out. I think I have some sort of mental block or something, idk. I know because of my new circumstances I dont need much and maybe I am just content and feel like I dont have to try. 

But, I think not getting rich or making a lot of money is SELFISH of me, because my parents need help, my daddy needs help, they are old and work their asses off and cannot retire yet. I want to and NEED to help them.

Now before I was able to quit my full time job outside the home, I ALWAYS worked. Non-stop since I was 12 years old. My first job was a babysitter, then at 14 years old I worked a real job as a busser with my parents permission and worked numerous jobs since then.  My daughter grew up in school and after school daycare, but last year I got BLESSED to work at home <3 because of my parents.

The reason why I decided to log my journey was to help myself FOCUS on making things HAPPEN. I have to log everyday of what I did to promote my businesses and make sales. Im in a deep hole and have a pink donation box (on gofundme dot com)  on the right and my businesses are listed on the right as well.
